For our client, Thales, we are looking for a Customer and Technical Support Engineer based in Huizen, Netherlands.
The Customer and Technical Support (CTS) Team configures communication equipment in order to deliver customer-specific solutions. These provide military vehicles with communication- and ICT solutions. After testing in the lab, the integration and test proceed in customer labs or in vehicles. During these activities, the engineers support the integration process. The team also plays an important role in training, demonstrations, and support of these systems.
As an IVVQ engineer, you perform configuration- integration- and test activities required to verify and validate that the solutions and products satisfy the customer requirements and needs. You work within the Customer and Technical Support (CTS) Team of the SOTAS Product line in close cooperation with the project teams as well as the software/hardware developers. The working method applied is based on agile engineering principles.
The main engineering activities you will perform are:
- Define test plans and procedures for system-level testing;
- Build and configure subsystems in the lab;
- Define and perform risk-based integration, verification, and validation testing;
- Prepare, test, and perform/support demo’s in-house and at the customer site in the country;
- Analyze issues found by our customers implying as well as travel to customers worldwide on a regular basis;
- Upgrade systems in the country;
- Train local engineers.
About you
We are in search of a colleague who:
- Has a bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, or similar;
- Knowledge of test and integration;
- Knowledge of Embedded systems, Networks, and Computing;
- Knowledge of Documentation of configuration management;
- Fluency in spoken and written English, and fluency in Dutch and Arabic are pre;
- Willing to travel sometimes (both nationally & internationally);
- Experience with training of people is a pre.
