Our Client is an European Company that designs and test power cables accessories. This company operates in the field of Utility. With headquaters in the South of Europe, they are active in setting innovative materials and technologies with particular attention to the several market demands. 

To extend their business in the North of Europe, we are looking for a;                                       

                                       Product Manager (Noord-Brabant)

The Job

Your main responsibility is Lead product development and redesign from concept through development and manufacturing to market launch. This job is all about executing tenders, knowing the market, building strong relationships with clients, having the knowledge of Electrical components etc. You can work remote but will be available to travel 2-3 days a week to a small office in the southern part of the Netherlands. 

In this job, you will also be responsible for;

  • Managing, following up, executing tenders’ requirements
  • Dealing with Utilities to successfully apply and clinch tender orders
  • Consistently dealing with Utility and Procurement department over product specification presentation and acceptance
  • Develops products by identifying potential products, conducting market research, generating product requirements, and determining specifications, production timetables, and pricing.
  • Determines customers’ needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information.
  • Assesses market competition by comparing the company’s product to competitors’ products.
  • Provides source data for product line communications by defining product marketing communication objectives.
  • Obtains product market share by working with sales director to develop product sales strategies.
  • Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses, and answering questions and requests.
  • Introduces and markets new products by developing time-integrated plans with sales, advertising, and production.
  • Determines product pricing by utilizing market research data, reviewing production and sales costs, anticipating volume, and costing special and customized orders.

Skills

First of all, your personality is calm and balanced. In order to build trustworthy relationships, you have the right mentality to bring projects to a success and know how to communicate with Directors and CEO’s but also with local companies and Project managers. You need to have the right project management skills and customer focus (Utilities, MEP contractors, End Users etc). You have a great understanding of the marketplace and technical and manufacturing knowhow. Therefore it’s a need that you have (at least) a bachelor’s degree in Electro-mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related. A Master’s in engineering or a MBA would be a big plus.

You are successful in your current position, which is related to this job. Preferred is relevant working experience around 3-8 years. Knowledge of the Dutch utility-market is important. You speak fluent English but Dutch is your mother tongue. You’re available for short trips across Europe.
