Surveillance provides efficient solutions for safety and security, for surveillance and decision support, and for threat detection and protection. The portfolio covers airborne, ground-based and naval radar, electronic warfare, combat systems and C4I solutions, and traffic management systems.

Saab Traffic Management (TM) serves marine and air traffic customers around the globe with advanced solutions that enable the safe and efficient movement of people and goods. There are two operating units within TM: Maritime Traffic Management (MTM) solutions include Automatic Identification Systems (AIS), port and vessel traffic management information systems (VTMIS), hydrographics, and precision navigation; Air Traffic Management (ATM) provides airport surface safety and efficiency systems and tools, tower automation and advanced research, development and evaluation solutions.We currently have an opening within Maritime Traffic Management.


Your role

We are seeking a Financial Controller in Apeldoorn (the Netherlands) that is willing to operate in a dynamic and international setting. An important part of your role is managing the annual statutory audit. This will bring you in contact with all parts of the organization, and you will be the first point of contract for our auditors. You will be part of a small team with finance professionals in Apeldoorn, and have contact with several Corporate Accounting functions in Sweden. In this role you will report to the Finance Manager, located in Apeldoorn.


You are responsible for:

  • Performing statutory reporting including consolidating;
  • Local and International taxes;
  • Assisting in (ad hoc) reporting;
  • Maintaining and updating BS reconciliations;
  • Helping when needed in processing day to day activities;


Your experience and skills:

  • Bachelor in Business Economics or in Accounting & Auditing;
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in auditing or international environment;
  • Excellent understanding of finance and general accounting; working knowledge of IFRS and Dutch GAAP;
  • Hands-on and flexible;
  • Able to work independently but also in close cooperation with your team and other teams within the Group;
  • Knowledge about  Dutch tax and preferably also international tax;
  • Interest and quick learning in software tools, system proficiency;
  • Advanced user of Excel;
  • Communicate fluently in English and Dutch;
  • The ability and willingness to work in a highly demanding and dynamic environment.
